HOW WE IMPACT PATIENTS

Within our Access & Value (A&V) department we achieve optimal pricing and reimbursement approvals and patient access for Pfizer's pharmaceuticals in Belgium and Luxembourg in close collaboration with the respective access manager and the cross-functional access team and in line with Pfizer's objectives.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Develop optimal Value & Evidence (V&E) strategies and related V&E action plan to support price and reimbursement (P&R) and access strategies in collaboration with the cross-functional access teams (XFaT)
  • Proactive participation in XFaT to drive the V&E strategy and alignment with overall P&R/brand strategy
  • Develop V&E action plan to meet the defined strategy prior and post reimbursement
  • Implement V&E action plan
  • Coordinate Real world data (RWD) collection / Real world evidence (RWE) generation to defend access
  • Partner with health authorities such as IMA/AIM, Sciensano and RIZIV/INAMI and external providers (e.g., general practitioners and hospital networks) for dedicated RWD projects
  • Development of high quality cost-effectiveness evaluation and business impact analysis
  • Responsible for the quality and timely submission of the health economics/RWE chapter of the P&R applications, in line with A&V validated dashboard & OP plans
  • Responsible for the follow-up and anticipation key milestones during P&R procedure (e.g. day 60, managed entry agreement proposal) and the preparation of high-quality responses to payer
  • Collaborates with Access manager and A&V Director to prepare the Managed Entry Agreements negotiations
  • Active participation in RWE Center of Excellence of Pfizer BeLux to identify x-category x-functional RWE opportunities
  • Option to represent Pfizer in pharma.be working groups relating to V&E


Key Functional Competencies:

  • Health economics/outcomes research (HEOR) expertise
  • Local evidence generation and analytics: Ability to generate and use evidence to support the product value offering to ensure optimal product access and uptake
  • Health policy and health system dynamics: Has a holistic understanding of health systems and health policy, with a deep and specific knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, funding, and procurement processes.
  • Payer Value Drivers: Understands needs, interests, and drivers of value for payers and their key influencers. Brings these external stakeholder perspectives into Pfizer.

  • Education: PhD or Master University Degree with an additional degree/certificate in Health Economics and knowledge of outcomes research
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in RWE/HEOR/HTA
  • Learning agility: willingness to become expert in RWE/HEOR/HTA process and activities
  • Ability to engage with and shape the local HTA/HEOR system, through participation in scientific organizations (e.g., ISPOR), local industry working groups, etc.
  • Language skills: Fluent French, Dutch, and English
  • Leadership skills
  • Other : Excellent in Medical Writing and Communication skills
