Portfolio Manager

Our client is a dynamic family office, focused on long-term buy-and-build private equity active direct investments.

The scope of the family office is to deliver long-term sustainable growth and returns and the commitment to its portfolio company partners in providing hands-on operational support, growth capital, network access and fellowship.

The Portfolio Manager will be involved in the operational side of deal sourcing, analysis, deal execution and mainly long term portfolio management:

• Sourcing: you search for add-on deals or new initiatives by default.
• Analysis: you will be responsible for organizing market studies, financial modelling and valuation of investment opportunities.
• Execution: you will be responsible for all aspects of deal execution including market and financial due diligence, structuring, bank financing and contract negotiation.
• Operational support (50%): you will be closely assisting and supporting the portfolio company management team in executing the value creation plan.

• You have a Master's degree in engineering, law or economics & finance with excellent academic credentials.
• You're well-organized, detail-oriented, always-on-attitude and able to work under tight deadlines.
• You have +- 10 years of business experience, with a focus on change management, strategy and general management. Experience in transactions and M&A is considered as a surplus.
• You have prior P&L and balance sheet responsibility.
• You have a passion for business and investments.
• You're aware of cultural and interpersonal differences in management styles and you have an outside-in, pragmatic and humble approach to fellows.
• Your excellent written and verbal communication skills allow for long-distance and to-the-point communication.
• Your self-motivation is a driver for your positive “can do” attitude. You feel at ease in a relatively informal though sophisticated setting and respect company values and guidelines.
• You have a natural tendency to turn every rock and not leave anything on or under the table and finally, you have a need to show your passion while making an impact for the better

You will be closely working together with your fellow PMs and Investment Partner with whom you'll cross-teamwork and you'll be encouraged to exchange experiences and methods. You will be reporting to the Investment Partner, working on several running projects.
