Senior Accountant with 4 homeworking days

Are you looking to work in an international association? Can you work independently ? Our client, an is looking for a Senior Accountant. You will be directly reporting to the Finance Director in the US, and you will be working in the centre of Brussels.

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage the following tasks:

• Manage local bookkeeping including instructing and overseeing external accountants
• Execute financial year end closure and support the consolidation of global financial accounts in coordination with the global Finance team
• Manage accounts receivable (including invoicing), payable and banking
• Lead development of local budgets in coordination with the global Finance team and programmatic leads, and in alignment with global budgetary frameworks
• Produce financial reporting and analysis for internal and external purposes
• Financially administer grants related to the Belgian entity, including managing grant allocations and controls
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local tax and financial obligations
• Manage organizational local audit processes and support global organization-wide audits

As a Senior Accountant, you have the following profile:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting
• A minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position
• Having working in an international association, having managed grants is a big asset
• Have an advanced Excel knowledge
• Knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
• A very good level of English, Dutch and/or French, spoken and written
• Acute attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and strong communication skills
• The experience with USGAAP is an advantage
