Senior Accountant

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients, a financial services provider located in Brussels.

As Senior Accountant, you'll become the right hand of the Accounting Manager for all complex tasks and for the supervision of the AP/AR Accounting tasks.

Your impact goes beyond operations… You play a crucial part in enhancing and automating accounting procedures. You will also have an important role to play in the improvement and automation of accounting procedures. You will be more than welcomed to suggest and implement innovative tools to increase day-to-day efficiency and drive positive change and success.

You will become the right end of the Accounting Manager and you'll be in charge of the following responsibilities:

• Management of all GL accounting activities: month-end closings, revision of entries, reconciliations, salary booking, ...
• Supervision of AP/AR daily activities
• Preparation of monthly reporting
• Preparation of VAT & tax declarations
• Participation during the external audit preparation
• Participation in the continuous improvement and design of accounting processes (implementation of new tools, accounting processes revamp, establishment of new procedures, ...)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 3 of experience in General Accounting
• You speak French and English fluently
• Analytical and critical, you easily identify areas for improvement. You suggest ideas and action plans to enhance the efficiency of financial and accounting procedures
• You are autonomous and able to transfer your knowledge and expertise to more junior profiles
• You take initiatives and have a can-do attitude
