Instrument Repair Centre Technician
Role Location - Vilvoorde, Belgium

We are looking for a skilled Instrument Repair Technician to join our Instrument Repair Centre team in Belgium.
We're looking for people who have engineering experience ideally from within a medical device background who love troubleshooting and problem solving, are driven to exceed customer expectations and have passion for quality.

In this role you will be responsible for Instrument Repair and Instrument Reconditioning process. You will be calibrating tools for our field service teams, completing repair or recondition of complete units; performing acceptance tests, analyzing work orders, investigating complaints and maintaining documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide equipment evaluation, testing and repairs on a variety of Hologic products
  • Repair or replace modular level equipment including, electronic components, part assemblies and other related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair non-functional customer owned, Hologic owned Instruments and demo products to the sub-assembly levels
  • In-house reconditioning of returned instrumentation as defined by process, quality requirements and release testing
  • Test faulty equipment and apply technical knowledge to diagnose the cause of system malfunctions
  • Record and report failure data and ensure accurate and timely documentation of repair activities
  • Adhere to all procedural and quality processes to ensure highest quality standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of electronics, software, networks, digital or analogue circuitry
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good level of English. Knowledge of French and Dutch would be advantageous.
  • Previous GMP, ISO, workshop or field engineer experience highly desirable
