We are looking for an Chip Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our customer's team in the Leuven region, which is a renowned Research Center. Are you driven by Quality? A valid working permit for Belgium is required for this job.

• Provide support to customers submitting their circuit designs for fabrication.
• Helping to improve the Process design Kit (PDK) documentation from a user point of view. A PDK is a set of files used within the semiconductor industry to model a fabrication process for the design tools used to design an integrated circuit.
• Point of contact to handle modelling questions from the different software providers.
• Validation of PDK documentation, DRC rules and models. (Design Rule Checking (DRC) verifies as to whether a specific design meets the constraints imposed by the process technology to be used for its manufacturing. DRC checking is an essential part of the physical design flow and ensures the design meets manufacturing requirements and will not result in a chip failure.

Profiel kandidaat

Essentials

• A Bachelor or Master in engineering or science
• Having experience programming in Python and with GIT is required.
• Good written and spoken technical English is a must.
• you like working fulltime on-site

Nice to have

• A background or completed courses in photonic integrated circuit design
• Ability to prepare and write technical reports and documentation
• Experience with Mentor Graphic's "Calibre" design rule checking software
