Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the worldwide accounting teams at the Belgium-based headquarters in the Ghent region.

In this role, you work in a growing and successful global company. You will be responsible for general accounting and report to the Finance Director.

Job Description:

You will lead the global accounting team, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards. You will drive decision-based reporting to improve the company's financial and accounting performance. You will provide financial insights to senior management and play a crucial role in shaping the company's economic strategy.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• You organize all day-to-day accounting processes and staff;
• You direct the monthly accounting closing procedure;
• You oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements by Belgian GAAP & IFRS;
• You coordinate the external audits;
• You closely collaborate with the FP&A team to support the budgeting & forecasting processes;
• You continuously seek improvements in the organisation of processes;
• You build and lead a high-performance accounting team;
• You ensure effective communication and collaboration with other departments;
• You contribute to projects that impact financial procedures and tools.

Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting;
• Experience with Belgian Accounting;
• Senior Financial leader, preferably in a global company;
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP;
• You communicate fluently in English and Dutch, both spoken and written;
• You thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
• Nice to have: Experience with Private Equity environment and SaaS reporting.
