Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager for the Data Center Environmental, Health and Safety team (DCEHS), you will be an individual contributor managing all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. This includes EHS management system implementation, environmental compliance programs, and global oversight of Subject Matter Expert topics. You will ensure all EHS challenges are identified and addressed by working collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams. You will also provide program leadership and oversight to new EHS initiatives. Build and maintain a strong Safety Culture.

  • Maintain environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable national and regional regulations with a comprehensive knowledge of Belgian law (Safety and Environment).
  • Identify and evaluate operational Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) risks, assess the impact to the business, analyze risk scenarios to determine their potential impact to the business, and design programs to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct assessments of existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with our regional strategy, analyze EHS business risks and identify, describe, and estimate efficiencies to be gained through established programs.
  • Assess Environmental Health and Safety training needs based on identified operational risks and ensure that the workforce training activities are provided to meet business and legislative requirements.
  • Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work‐related injuries and illnesses, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent practical experience.
  • Candidates will typically have ⚠ year of program management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • SL Link from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or equivalent agency.
  • Candidates will typically have ⚠ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Ability to speak French fluently.
