The KL Connect is seeking a (Senior) Body Shop Vehicle Damage Assessor to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position will involve supporting the Body Repair Program in all aspects. Our Vehicle Damage Assessor play an integral role within the KL Connect. In this position, you will carry out estimates in a timely and accurate manner, take responsibility for managing invoices to ensure that the department meets its targets. In addition, you will make a direct impact on the profitability of the Bodyshop by using your in depth understanding of collision and body repair

Votre mission

• Identify and record key vehicle specifications
• Build Repair Plans in accordance with KL Connect specific repair procedures
• Document all related or non-related damage to the vehicle
• Preparing detailed repair estimates and plans for damaged KL Connect models in accordance with KL Connect specific repair procedures and insurance partner
• Inspecting customer vehicles, maintaining, and executing a timely schedule before, during, and after completions of repairs
• Carry out the correct escalation processes when required to ensure the right reporting channels are followed
• Successfully use internal systems, to report/ document customer queries to generate date for field and factory operations
• Establish and record vehicle occupancy at the time of the incident
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Work within given time constraints
• Carry out Quality Checks to ensure repair work meets KL Connect's High Standards
• To carry out work in a manner compliant to EHS policies adhering to manufacturer and industry guidelines
• Liaising with insurance representatives to guarantee that repairs are authorized for claims and billing
• Booking in customers and keeping them constantly updated on vehicle progress
• Finalise repair order for invoicing and ensure timely delivery of vehicles
• Carrying out remote estimations based on digital images and ensuring all damages are documented with photographic evidence
• Completing all estimates using the country specific estimating system (Audatex, Cabas, CCC One or D&H Connect)
• Work closely with peer to ensure accuracy and consistency with day to day operations of the Bodyshop

Votre contribution

The individual should have experience working in the accident repair sector for a minimum of ⚠ years to show they are familiar with skills, knowledge, and techniques to determine the vehicle damage, identify the correct safe repair method to return the vehicle to it pre accident condition.

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a Bodyshop environment
• Vocational training as a Bodyshop Technician is desirable
• Be a proficient user of at least one estimating system, CCC One, Audatex, Cabas or D&H Connect
• A good understanding of how estimates impact profitability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A clear understanding of health & safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
• Ability to provide leadership and instructions to teammates – showcasing excellence within the damage assessment process
• Complete comprehensive understanding of full refinishing processes within the Bodyshop business
• The ability to deliver the highest quality standard of repair every time
• A good understanding of tools & equipment used for all refinishing processes
• A valid driving licence
