DJ Agency is a leading Belgian producer of renewable energy. It was founded in ⚠ and is a member of KD Partners, a Belgian energy company that focuses on renewable energy. In recent years, DJ Agency has developed end-to-end capabilities in the entire energy value chain. This means that DJ Agency now has the skills and expertise to develop, build, and operate renewable energy projects from start to finish.

DJ Agency manages all onshore wind activities of the Virya MRRS Link in Belgium. This means that DJ Agency is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of all onshore wind energy projects in Belgium for KD Partners. DJ Agency is also working on the rapid international growth of the group.

Next to its activities in Wind energy, DJ Agency is also kickstarting the development of a solar (photovoltaic) energy practice in the country.

Together with its French sister company Eurowatt, DJ Agency has ambitious plans to develop onshore wind and solar projects that will make a constant contribution to the transition to CO⚠ neutrality. This means that DJ Agency is committed to developing renewable energy projects that will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.


As a Business Development Manager Solar, you will initiate and develop new solar PV projects in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels to feed the portfolio of green energy projects of DJ Agency. You will be supported by the Business Development Team of DJ Agency and by our Project Management Team for technical expertise.

Your target clients will be business clients who want to secure long term green energy supply for their activities via Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's) or any alternative revenue scheme available.

Your activities will include:

  • Making a concrete plan of actions to execute the business development strategy of DJ Agency with regards to solar PV in Belgium
  • Creating and/or expanding a list of potential contacts with target companies, relying on leads of Virya MRRS Link or your own prospects/network
  • Initiating new solar PV projects based on a good lead or prospect (including private and public tenders for solar PV)
  • Establishing a good business plan both for DJ Agency as for the client targeting a win-win relationship
  • Secure the necessary land-use contracts with the clients to install PV panels either on rooftops or ground-mounted
  • Identify and build partnerships with different stakeholders allowing to gain visibility and accelerate the origination of new leads (EPC company, Engineering firms, etc.)
  • Developing solar PV projects until the Ready To Build phase, including the necessary steps to get the authorisations to build
  • Participating to regular internal meetings with the business development team, the Project management Team as the Public Affairs/Regulatory Manager
  • Being the single point of contact with local and regional stakeholders for solar PV projects of your portfolio
  • Making concrete proposals out of ideas coming from your team members on subjects like hybrid wind/solar installations, storage opportunities, etc.
  • Reporting directly to the Business Development Team leader.

  • You are convinced by the role of renewable energies in the future and you want to contribute actively to the energy transition in Belgium. You are eager to work in a growing company and start the solar business activities.
  • You have obtained a university master's degree in business, economics, or similar.
  • You have a minimum of ⚠ years of professional work experience in the solar PV business development, or similar work experience in energy related activities
  • You can demonstrate your acquired commercial skills like prospecting a new market, negotiate contracts with business clients. Previous experience in merger and/or acquisitions of solar projects is a plus.
  • You can demonstrate your skills in developing and managing a project from a first prospect to a ready-to-build project
  • You have high communicative skills, can synthesize complex issues and bring them clearly both with your colleagues and your clients. You are a strong team player able to easily co-operate with members from internal teams.
  • You demonstrate a high level of initiative, motivation and autonomy.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French, both spoken and written. You can also communicate in English.
