Finance Operations Lead

SR Solutions Solutions is currently looking for a Shared Service Center -Finance Operation Lead for a permanent position based in Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the Telecom sector.

As Shared Service Center -Finance Operation Lead you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance SSC, including Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report activities like general ledger accounting, financial reporting, Treasury, VAT and Tax;
  • Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations;
  • Ensure financial transactions are processed in meeting agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Lead to completion the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data;
  • Manage the team of four accountants in charge of executing the financial transactions under SSC scope. Manage and plan their daily activities. Perform needed controls to ensure zero default execution. Define and appraise yearly objectives realization. Ensure their personal development and training;
  • Coordinate internal and external audit works, providing documentation and explanations as needed, and addressing audit findings and recommendations;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance teams from the client entities, to resolve issues and address inquiries;
  • Propose processes and systems improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance SSC operations;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices in finance operations, and apply knowledge to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

The required profile for the Shared Service Center -Finance Operation Lead position:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting;
  • At least ⚠ years' experience in a similar function for an international company
  • Belgium GAAP, Tax and VAT knowledge;
  • IFRS knowledge is a plus;
  • Dutch native & fluent English;
  • IT literate (Excel) and ERP experience. Process and systems focus. Identifies ways to improve the accounting processes. Continually seeks more efficient methods of working;
