Quality Project Manager


La Lorraine Bakery Group (LLBG) is a 100% Belgian family-owned company with more than 80 years of experience in the milling and bakery sector.

LLBG wants to be Product Leader. Innovation and Sustainable High Quality of our products are key. The Quality Project Manager BU Frozen will be a key driver in achieving a fully integrated Quality Improvement process and makes sure that our LLBG quality standards and product leadership philosophy is also assured in future growth areas and new IKA's.

Your function:

  • You start with a project of 6 months: improvement of GMP's in the factory of Erpe-Mere:
    • Cleaning shedules, pest control, personal hygiene,...)
    • Define and execute a way of working of quality topics in HUB LL Erpe-Mere. (sourced products)
  • After 6 months:
    • Leading or participating in Quality projects in BU Frozen (Food Safety Culture, harmonizations of GMP's,...)
    • Implementation of LLBG quality system, standards & reporting, in line with existing plants, in all new bakeries or production lines of LLBG 'including M&A).
    • Quality participation for startups of new lines, plants at the design, execution and commissioning phases.
    • Analysis of data over lines and plants, set up of trends, follow-up of KPI's and action plans.
    • Set-up of supplier and raw material quality management (QA/QC)

In this role you report to the Quality Director BU Frozen.

Your profile:

  • Master degree in food technology/nutrition/science with several years of experience in Quality Management and Food Safety, in the food industry.
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • A drive & personality to build relationships with all the external stakeholders ( Quality, Production, R&D, NPD, Procurement and Suppliers).
  • Capability to create a committment to implement best practices.
  • Excellent project management and reporting skills. Punctual & analytical.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations, hands-on, strong coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills & fluent in English
  • Willing to travel
