Robert Half is currently recruiting a GL Accountant to join a large international organization.

You will be part of a young and fast-growing company with a multinational team where you will have the ability to continuously develop your skills.

You will act as the right hand of the Finance Manager. The GL Accountant role has a number of responsibilities that include:

• Supporting the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes;
• Ensuring the accounting entries for the monthly and yearly closing

Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts;

• Calculating, preparing and submitting VAT & Intrastat returns;
• Accounting treatment of the payroll;
• Assisting in audits and any ad-hoc projects or business initiatives;
• Preparation of transfer pricing (calculation + legal requirements);
• Fixed asset management;
• Preparation of statutory accounts;
• Preparation of income tax returns;
• Take full ownership of smaller foreign entities;
• Proactively looking for opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• You have a Bachelor's degree Accountancy-Tax or equivalent through experience;
• You have relevant work experience within a similar position. Motivation and ability to learn is more important than years of experience;
• You have a strong knowledge of accounting and VAT principles;
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and French is considered a plus;
• You know how to set priorities and meet work deadlines;
• You have a strong analytical mindset and business acumen;
• You are willing to take on new tasks and can quickly adapt to change;
• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• You are an enthusiastic team player and will bring a positive attitude to the entire group.
